First Visit / New Patients
Initial Dental Appointment
Your initial appointment usually will consist of an examination and review of your treatment options with the hygienist, the patient care coordinator, and the doctor. Usually, treatment can be done or started on the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
Please assist us by providing the following information prior to the time of your consultation:
- Any x-rays taken by a previous dentist, if applicable and current.
- All office forms that can be accessed online or printed from our website.
- Dental insurance. Due to the complexity of dental insurance the office will need this information well in advance of your appointment. This will allow us to help you understand what services are covered under your plan.
- Medical conditions that may effect treatment being provided on the day of your consultation. Artificial heart valves, knee, hip or shoulder replacements, and any mediations such as aspirin or anticoagulant therapy, etc.
Important: All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
X-Rays
If your previous dentist has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. If additional x-rays are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
