That sounds like an easy question to answer but it isn’t. Your smile is unique, and we won’t compromise your individuality with smile enhancements. Smile design dentistry done right requires an initial consultation in which we will discuss your goals, preferences and options for care. Generally speaking, we may suggest porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, all-white restorations, and/or replacement teeth. After your comprehensive evaluation and consultation, we’ll present a smile makeover plan for your new smile.
Yes. We offer whitening solutions to brighten teeth dramatically at home or in our office. Call our dental office in Dagsboro for an appointment today?
Dark fillings and metal crowns can be replaced with strong aesthetic solutions. Our dentists have placed composite resin fillings for years, and we also offer porcelain crowns.
Following a thorough consultation, we will assess your needs and determine the best option for you to replace missing teeth. Often, dental implants are the most preferable and predictable solution. We offer crown and bridge treatments, full and partial dentures as well. Learn more about these services on our services menu, and then call us for a consultation.
We do accept most insurance plans and we will gladly file your claim for you always! We are a Delta Dental Premier Provider. Please call our office with any questions, and remember to bring your insurance card with you. Please plan to pay your co-pay or deductible portion at the time of service.
For your convenience, we accept cash, check, and credit cards. Third-party financing is available through CareCredit for qualified applicants.
Dental Implant FAQ
This will be a question that you will discuss with the oral surgeon. Many times when a tooth has been missing for some time in the mouth the bone recedes and has to be replaced prior to the implant being placed.
The entire process of getting a dental implant can take up to 18 months, depending on the surgical site, your need for bone grafting, and the complexities of your case. Dr. Kevin and Wendy Brafman work closely with the oral surgeon during the entire time you are in treatment.
Dental implants are made of titanium, so they are able to permanently bond with the jawbone through a process called osteointegration. This fusion is so effective that it allows dental implants to function like natural teeth in all chewing, biting, and dietary capacities.
During the surgery, you will be properly anesthetized at all times or you will be asleep so you will not feel a thing. And after surgery, you’ll be relieved to know that most of our patients experience very little pain. The surgeon will help you manage any discomfort with over-the-counter pain medications. We would be happy to discuss any necessary prescriptions during your visit.
Dental implants are made of titanium. An implant is comprised of three parts: the implant itself (a titanium screw that is placed in the jawbone), the abutment (a connector between the implant and the crown), and the crown (the part that is visible and looks like the tooth). Drs. Kevin and Wendy Brafman partner with renowned oral surgeons around the Dagsboro area who place the implant and the healing cap before we skillfully complete the entire process with the final crown.
Studies have shown that properly placed and well-cared for dental implants can last for a long time. Our cutting edge technology and extensive experience enable us to give you the very best shot at keeping yours for life!
