follow the sign to our front door!
Brafman Family Dentistry welcomes new patients of all ages to our practice. We would like to make your first appointment in our office as enjoyable as possible. When you schedule your new patient appointment with our front desk staff the following information will be needed for our office.
Your first visit to our office will be scheduled with the hygienist and the doctor. After a review of your medical history the hygienist will collect information regarding your dental health to present to the doctors. This includes necessary radiographs, periodontal pocket charting, and a past dental history. This information will be important to determine what level of cleaning you may require. Remember that if it has been many years since your last dental cleaning you may require a more extensive cleaning compared to a patient that receives care every six months.
Once the information has been collected, the doctor will come in to create a treatment plan along with the treatment plan coordinator. At this time your dental plan is created especially for you. All of your dental concerns and questions can be answered and a plan can be devised that suits your financial needs. Our staff is very knowledgeable about dental insurance plans, and can help you determine what type of coverage you have and what you can use toward you dental care.
If time allows we may be able to clean your teeth on your first visit! Sometimes, if your cleaning requires more time, we will schedule you to return to our office. This is so you receive the correct amount of time for your necessary care.
We do ask that you be on time for your appointments. This is time that we have specifically set aside just for you. We want you to have an enjoyable experience and have plenty of time to ask questions.
